Grass clippings are now a thing of the past with Castelgarden’s innovative mulching mowers. The advanced deck design allows the clippings to be kept within the cutter deck where they are cut and re-cut by the specially designed blades. The fine clippings are then discharged into the ground where they quickly decompose returning vital nutrients promoting a healthy looking lawn. No more piles of rotting grass when you use a Castelgarden mulching mower plus mowing time is actually reduced when compared to more conventional methods of cut and collect, leaving you more time to enjoy your garden.
The XM range of mulching mowers are vastly different in looks compared to normal ride-ons. Their out-front cutter decks are particularly useful when mowing under shrubs or bushes and the excellent forward vision allows for very precise cutting. There are 3 models in the range all with rear wheel steer and with cutter deck sizes ranging from 85cm to a useful 107cm. Powerful Briggs & Stratton engines are used in 3 sizes, 12.5HP, 13.5HP and 15.5HP. Entry model XM 130 has a 5 forward and 1 reverse gear transmission whilst models XM 140HD and XM 160HD are equipped with Hydrostatic drive thereby eliminating the need to stop and change gear.
